531,113. Ventilators for vehicles. ROE, L. B., and ROE, J. J. A. July 12, 1939, No. 20244. [Class 137] Within a box-like casing a fitted at the front of a vehicle, are mounted two or more baffle plates d, e each having a number of apertures d<SP>2</SP>, e<SP>2</SP>, those in one plate being staggered in respect to those in the other plates, the parts of the plates between the apertures being curved or inclined, so that air, entering through louvres a<SP>2</SP> and passing through the outer plate, is deflected back by the inner plate before passing through the apertures in this plate and entering the interior through openings c' in the upper part of a pattress c. This change of direction causes the deposition of dirt and moisture which escape through the bottom of the casing. The casing may be either inside or outside the vehicle.
