Abstract

531,002. Thermostats. BISSELL, C. E. July 8, 1939, No. 19906. [Class 135] A thermostat particularly adapted for use on a gas cooker has an adjustable seat for the valve member adjusted by a knob turning on an axis at right angles to that of the seat. The valve member 25 which is held against rotation by a pin 26 is adjustably mounted on a spindle 211 held by a spring 27 in contact with a spindle 21 secured to a thermo-sensitive tube 20. The tubular valve seat 32 is slidably mounted on a spigot part 16 of the casing and has an inclined surface held by a spring 34 in contact with the conical end of an adjusting pin 35 provided with a knob 12.
