530,555. Filing papers; index tabs; picture mounts. WHITFIELD. F. G. S., and GOLLEDGE. C. J. June 27, 1939, No. 18705. [Classes 11, 16 and 146 (i)] A storage and indexing device for photographic micro-films comprises a leaf with parallel pockets having finger openings. the films having index tabs secured by bendable lugs and the pockets and tabs marked for reference and indexing. The leaves may be carried in a loose-leaf binder or in a metal cabinet. The pockets may be formed by a sheet twice the length of the leaf, the extension being notched or slotted and bent back and lines of stitching 8, sewing 9, or adhesive 10 applied, or from a base sheet 1 with similar or different cover 4 applied and secured. The cover may be transparent or may have windows 12. The slots may extend across the film 6 as at 5 or come in alignment with the feed slots as at 7. The tabs 13 have lugs entering the feed slots or merely piercing the film and being then bent back. In a modified form, the pockets have an opening along one side and end, and the finger slots in this case may be along the top edge.
