Abstract

529,698. Driving gears for boats. WOLSELEY MOTORS. Ltd., THOMAS, W. M. W., and SNOOK, H. June 7, 1939, No. 16644. [Class 114] With reversing gears controlled selectively by electromagnets the operating lever also controls the power unit. A contact arm 2 is movable over contacts 3, 4, 5 connected to electromagnets which respectively control ahead, brake on neutral and astern running. The blade is on a sleeve 7 which has limited free motion on a shaft 8 that has an arm 9 with adjustable screws 10, 10a engageable with opposite sides 11 of the sleeve. The shaft 8 is actuated by a rocking lever 12 which is connected by Bowden wires 14 with the main control lever. The engine throttle shaft 19 is operated by rollers 13, 13a on lever 12 engaging arms 18, 18a.
