[Class 83 (iii)] In machining plating such as armour plating, the edge of the plate 7 is machined by a milling- cutter 5 and a marginal recess or rabbet is cut by a second milling cutter 6. The work is secured to a part 8 of a fixed bed 1 and the milling heads 3, 4 driven by motors 3a, 4a respectively are mounted on a traversing table 2, driven by another motor 2a.
