Abstract
527,812. Collapsable cardboard boxes. THOMPSON & NORRIS MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd., and BARCLAY, H. N. April 21, 1939, No. 11,988. [Class 18] A collapsable box of cardboard or like sheet material for tomatoes, vegetables, cut flowers &c. or for chicks or other livestock or for other articles has side walls 1, 2 folding upwards from a bottom to form a tray-like container and has at the positions where the walls adjoin or overlap loops or eyes such as 4, 7 to take wooden or other rigid corner posts 5 which serve to secure the box and strengthen it for stacking. Hand-holes may be formed in the ends by scoring, the flap thus made being left attached at one edge. The walls may be of equal height and may number four or more. A lid consisting of a loose blank may be provided, the ends tucking down between a front and a side wall.
