[Class 79 (iii)] An instrument panel a is formed with housings or enclosures b ... g for some or all of the instruments, the instruments or fittings not being, as hitherto, each complete in itself but locking the casing and, if desired some other essential part such as terminals. In the construction shown the panel is moulded from synthetic resin or other plastic material, and the housings enclose the speedometer, petrol and oil gauge and ammeter, ignition switch, clock, and warning lamps. Openings h in the panel may be closed by transparent or translucent windows i, and the instruments may be carried by rear cover plates j. The housings may project from either or both faces of the panel.
