Abstract

526,125. Seals for bearings &c. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA KULLAGERFABRIKEN. March 8, 1939, No. 7556. Convention date, March 12, 1938. [Class. 122 (v)] An oil retaining and dust excluding device between two relatively rotatable members especially suitable for use in bearings, comprises a plate of sheet metal 9 to one side of which belt 8 is bonded over substantially the whole area of the plate, as by means of metallic adhesion. The sealing plate is secured at 14 to the outer bearing ring 12 and co-operates with the inner bearing ring 16 to form a seal. Suitable sectional contours of the ring are described and illustrated in the Specification.
