[Class 139] [Also in Group XX] Three concentric hands a, b, c, are arranged to move over three concentric scales d, e, f, respectively, the scale d having 36 divisions each corresponding to 10 degress of arc, the scale e having 10 divisions each corresponding to 1 degree of arc, and the scale f having 300 divisions each corresponding to 2/10 minutes of arc. The hand a rotates once in 24 hours, the hand b once in 40 minutes, and the hand c once in 4 minutes. The instrument may be provided with chronographical watch movement or with a modified split-second hand arrested only whilst a push button is being operated. The movement may be regulated to Greenwich civil time or to sidereal time.
