686,871. Clocks and watches. RIBOT, G. M. T. Nov. 20, 1950 [Nov. 18, 1949]. No. 28351/50. Class 139. [Also in Group XXXIV]. A timepiece of the type wherein the balance staff carrying the hair spring and the balance wheel is provided at its ends with jewels adapted to revolubly engage stationary pivots carried respectively by the plate and the balance cock is characterized in that the stationary pivots are of conical configuration and assume a cylindrical shape at their apices to engage the jewels of said balance staff and that said pivots are carried snugly by the plate and the balance cock respectively ' in corresponding conical recesses thereof. The balance staff 19, Fig. 2, carries the jewels 21a, 21b and the endstones 22a, 22b which receive the pivots 27a, 27b carried respectively by the plate 2 and the balance cock 3 and urged against the endstones by plate springs 28a, 28b.
