Abstract
525,475. Mounting motors &c. ZAVODY RINGHOFFER-TATRA AKCIOVA SPOLECNOST. Feb. 21, 1939, No. 5821. Convention date, April 11, 1938. [Class 79 (iii)] In motor vehicles, particularly streamlined flat-engined vehicles, having the driving unit comprising the motor, the rear axle drive and the gear box mounted as a whole, the motor is supported from the axle drive casing at three points, one being on the casing and the other two on arms fixed or formed with the casing, the supports leaving the front face of the motor exposed. As shown, the motor 7 is supported on two arms 3 through rubber blocks 5 and on a support 8 through rubber block 9, the arms and support being integral with or attached to the rear axle casing 1 to which the gear box 2 is secured. The unit is mounted on the chassis with intermediate rubber blocks.
