Abstract
525,366. Stands. FOSTER, H. C., and QUEENSBURY ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. Feb 20, 1939, Nos. 5573 and 29297. [Class 52 (iii)] A stand more particularly for supporting sign plates comprises an upright rod 5 supported by a number of legs 8 pivotally connected to a collar 7 movable on the rod and held in the splayed position by a spreader 9. On the rod 5 is loosely mounted a sleeve 10 which may be either integral with or separate from the collar 7. A sign plate 11 guided on the end 5 by a collar 14 carries a reinforcing rod 12 bent at 13 forming a plug which by entering the sleeve 10 locks the rod 5. At its upper end the rod 5 may carry sockets 6 for receiving flag poles each of which contains a centrally perforated resilient disc for receiving the pole.
