Abstract

515,441. Destroying insects and weeds. HOVELL, D. de B. June 1, 1938, No. 16427. [Classes 5 (i) and 6 (ii)] [Also. in Group XI] Portable apparatus for killing insects by a flame comprises a liquid fuel burner 26 at one end of a carrier 22 and a counter-balance weight which may be a tank 31 for liquid fuel, at the other end so that the centre of gravity lies near the middle of the carrier. The burner may be a blow-lamp. The Provisional Specification states that the apparatus may be used for killing weeds and may have a wheeled support for the burner.
