[Class 122 (v)] An annular packing member 9 for a valve or cock is formed of rubber or like compressible material and has lubricant grooves 10 in at least two adjacent sealing faces. Excessive pressure on the member 9 is avoided by the use of distance pieces 11 between the cap 7 and casing 1.
