Abstract

524,403. Forced-feed lubrication. REBS, A. Jan. 30, 1939, No. 3092. [Class 12 (iii)] Lubricant distributers in which distribution and feed of the lubricant is controlled by double slide pistons 1, 2, 3 having passages for the passing of lubricant and being in number half that of the lubricant points. In the position illustrated lubricant cannot pass to any of the points I, II, III, IV, V and VI but being forced along a<SP>1</SP> opens the valve R<SP>1</SP> and pushes piston 2 to the right so that lubricant is forced through valve R<SP>2</SP> to point I. At the same time a, is made to open to b, and point II to c, so that lubricant can now push piston 3 to the right and point II can be supplied. Similarly for piston 1 and point III but now the piston moves to the left and opens the way for lubricant from a to enter c and force piston 2 to the left. This process continues till finally piston 1 is pressed to the right to feed point VI.
