[Class 140] Porous compound fabrics for wearing-apparel such as collars and cuffs consist of two outer non-thermoplastic fabrics such as cotton united to an interposed layer of thermoplastic fabric containing composite threads made by twisting non-thermoplastic strands with strands of a thermoplastic cellulose derivative The fabric is prepared as described in Specification 497,568. The twisting of the strands may be carried out so that the thermoplastic strand forms a helix on the non-thermoplastic strand.
