[Classes 83 (i) and 83 (ii)] Casting composite articles.-In making a bearing bush, a mould, adapted tc form part of the bush and to be filled with bearing metal, such as lead-bronze by dipping, comprises a double-walled, cylindrica: vessel 3 drawn from sheet iron and open at one end. It is provided with extensions 7 connected to form a strap or formed with holes 6 to receive a holding device, not shown, of iron, wire or strip. After quenching in water and subjecting to a finishing treatment the article is machined to lines 9 to form the desired bush.
