Abstract

523,447. Ventilating motor vehicles. GALBRAITH, A. Dec. 29, 1938, No. 37704. [Class 137] Air enters through an inlet 5 with an air collecting scoop at the top of the bonnet adjacent the windscreen 17, the air passing by.a duct 12, centrifugal fan 10, and twin ducts 14, 15, to a nested cone air distributer 4 opening into the interior of the vehicle. The air in the duct 15 is heated by a heater 6 by water from the radiator which circulates through pipes 8, 9. A branch pipe 16 from the duct 15 leads warm air to outlets 18 spaced along the pipe to direct jets of air against the interior surface of the windscreen to prevent condensation.
