523,331. Pipe joints. GIRVAN, I. W. (Representative of KING, W.). Dec. 30, 1938, No. 37940. [Class 99 (i)] A sleeve, preferably of papier-machÚ, for joining abutting pipe ends, has its ends b curled inwardly to grip the pipes and has an opening d for the introduction of molten lead or a cementitious or bituminous material. The length of the opening d may be equal to the diameter of the pipes to facilitate the introduction of a T-section ring h which prevents the bonding material from entering the pipes.
