522,654. Drying printed webs. INTERCHEMICAL CORPORATION. Dec. 17, 1938, No. 36834. Convention date, Dec. 29, 1937. Addition to 466,658. [Class 100 (ii)] [Also in Group XIII] In drying printing ink on a web by volatilizing solvent and burning the vapour as described in the parent Specification, the material is cooled simultaneously. This may be done by means of a supporting-roller chilled by brine. In a modification, the web 6 is cooled from below by streams of gas issuing from nozzles 18.
