Abstract

522,393. Telemotors. MITCHELL, C. C., and MACTAGGART, SCOTT, & CO., Ltd. Dec. 7, 1938, No. 35726. [Class 69 (ii)] A transmitting or steering telemotor comprises two fixed hollow rams c connected by pipes d to the motor telemotor cylinder, and two cylinders e arranged on the rams and operated in opposite directions by the steering wheel n through rack and pinion or other gearing. The cylinders and rams are enclosed in a casing containing liquid and each cylinder is fitted with a byepass valve g operated by an abutment h when the steering wheel is in midposition. In a modification the abutments h are carried by the cylinders and when the abutments are in engagement they open valves to interconnect the pipes d and the interior of the container.
