Abstract

522,330. Pivotal mounting of doors &c. FAIREY AVIATION CO., Ltd., and GREENFIELD, W. W. Jan. 6, 1939, No. 506. [Class 65 (ii)] A door, window &c. for aircraft &c. is mounted in its frame by two pairs of pintles f, g on the door &c. engaging two pairs of sockets j, k on opposite sides of the frame, the sockets having a removable part, such as a plate m, which may be moved from a distance by a Bowden wire &c. u to open either pair of sockets and allow the pintles therein to fall out while the door swings about the other pair. The plate is returned to normal position by springs r to close the sockets. In another form, separate wedges are used to close the sockets and all four may be operated simultaneously to allow the door &c. to be moved bodily out of its frame.
