Abstract
522,274. Mercury compounds. GROVES, W. W. (I.G. Farbenindustrie Akt.-Ges.). Dec. 5, 1938, No. 35372. [Class 2 (iii)] Solid molecular compounds of alkyl-xanthines with the complex mercury compounds of sodium salicylallylamide-O-acetate are prepared by mixing an aqueous solution of equimolecular proportions of the components and evaporating to dryness or precipitating the product by adding a solvent such as alcohol. The complex mercury compound is prepared as described in Example 4 of U.S.A. Specification 1,693,432. In the examples, the mercury compound is combined with theophylline. The products may be made up into tablets or suppositories. Specifications 443,517, and 447,405 are referred to.
