[Class 80 (ii)] In a clutch member comprising a rubber annulus a of wedge section bonded to metal plates b, c arranged to transmit the drive and secured to the hub g respectively, the plate b is provided with projections j adapted to be drivingly engaged by cooperating formations i on an emergency driving plate h, rigidly secured to the hub, in the event of failure of the rubber, the plate h preventing axial displacement of the plate b. Various constructions are described. Specification 363,039, [Group XXXII], is referred to.
