[Class 108 (i)] Detachable fittings by which a motor lorry may be converted into an ambulance comprise front and rear pairs of uprights B' fitting in sockets b secured to the floor, transverse members E carried by brackets e<1> slidable on the uprights and longitudinal runways c for stretchers secured to the members E by bolts e passing through these members and through brackets c' on the members c. The brackets c<1> are slotted to allow relative adjustment of the members c. E in the fore and aft direction. The members B' are supported by horizontal bars A' extending laterally and longitudinally from the vehicle walls A, the bars and uprights being connected by slidable tubular brackets a<2>.
