Abstract

519,022. Range-finders &c. BARR & STROUD, Ltd., and FRENCH, J. W. Sept. 7, 1938, No. 26126. [Class 97 (i)] In range-finders and other binocular instruments comprising eye-piece systems each rotatable about an eccentric axis for inter ocular adjustment, a radial reflecting device for each eye-piece, and'a projecting lens between each objective field and eye-piece field, the reflecting device is placed at a substantial distance from the eye-piece and at a position where the section of the beam is approximately a minimum. The Fig. shows one eye-piece 1 of a range-finder in a tube C rotatable about an axis D, and carrying, near to a projecting lens 3, a prism 2 directing light from the axis D into the axis E of the eye-piece.
