[Class 82 (i)] [ Also in Group III] An ammoniacal copper solution is passed through a filter charged with a phenol-wsulphonic acid resin, whereby the copper is absorbed, the absorbent charged with copper ammino compounds is regenerated by treatment with an ammonium formate solution, and the resulting solution charged with copper is thermally decomposed, the copper being obtained as such or in the form of oxide.
