Abstract
517,544. Thermostats. IGRANIC ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. July 28, 1938, No. 22488. Convention date, Aug. 7, 1937. [Class 64 (ii)] In a thermally-responsive control for electric refrigerators, and comprising a lever 1 with a loading spring 5, and a heat-sensitive element 8 with a member 11 for transmitting pressure to the lever, as described in Specification 502,921, [Group XXXVII], the thermal element 8 is compressed by the spring to such a degree that both walls are sprung inwardly beyond the snap point and so maintained throughout the working range. The thermal element is connected to a gas-filled bulb 12 for distant push control, and consists of a circular disc A and an annular part B joined with silver solder. It is protected by a casing 9 provided with an annular bead 25 which coacts with a shoulder 23 on a nipple 20 receiving the bulb tube 13.
