516,073. Dry shavers. AMERICAN SAFETY RAZOR CORPORATION June 20, 1938, No. 18241. Convention date, June 22, 1937. [Class 131] A dry shaver comprises a rotor 12 having axial blades 18 with cutting edges 20 and rotated through gearing by a power-driven shaft 60, the edges 20 co-operating with cutting edges 28 at the end of slots 25 in the cylindrical casing. Guard members 11, 13 are provided, the member 11 having slots 24 registering with the slots 25. Spring-pressed plungers 30 press the rotor against the upper wall of the casing. Fig. 6 shows a modified rotor having the blades 18<1> divided by slots 66, which are out of alignment in successive blades. Specification 515,850 is referred to.
