Abstract

515,569. Loud speakers. BOSCH, F. J. C. VAN DEN. June 2, 1938, No. 16607. [Class 40 (iv)] [Also in Group XL] A wireless receiver and an associated loud speaker are combined with an electric lamp 13, 14 in such a way that the whole assembly is supported by the engagement of the bayonet connector 11 and the D.C. supply socket. The smoothing choke 23 and mains-aerial condenser 24 are in the upper portion of a cylindrical casing 10 which houses the pancake tuning coils 17, condensers 21 and coupling resistors 22. The three valves, constituting resistancecapacity coupled high-frequency, detector and low-frequency stages, have their electrode assemblies mounted at 16 within the lamp bulb 13. The loud speaker diaphragm 25 surrounds the bulb and is flexibly secured to the casing 10 by a flange 26 ; the driving system comprises a special coil 28 operating the magnetic-flange 26.
