[Class 5 (ii)] The egg collectors F at the fronts of battery cages are formed as separate troughs having their front positions f above and beyond the outer edges of the sloping floors B, and their inner ends f' below and behind the outer edges of the floors which project beyond the outer walls of the cages. The troughs may be formed of flexible or resilient material such as wire netting, chain-link netting, wire mesh, rubber, or fabric. As shown, the trough is formed of longitudinal rods or wires f<2> supported at intervals by transverse chains f<3>. Feeding and drinking troughs D. K, and doors C suspended on hooks c and adapted to engage stops d', are provided.
