Abstract

514,119. Fastenings. DE HAVILLAND AIRCRAFT CO., Ltd., and THOMAS, F. M. April 27, 1938, No. 12591. [Class 44] A fastening for aircraft cowlings, airscrew spinners &c. comprises a pin 3 on one part engaging a socket 5 on another part, and secured therein by a spring-pressed locking member 8 provided with an inclined surface 8B coacting with a similar surface 4A on the pin to force the latter into the socket. The number 8 is withdrawn from the pin by a rotatable cam 12A engaging a recess 13 therein, and kept in position by a spring ball 14 and set screw 15.
