Abstract

514,001. Rotary drying-drums. RADCLIFFE, F. April 25, 1938, No. 12318. [Class 34 (ii) [Also in Groups VIII and III] The receptacle 2 of a rotary drier is provided with an internal helical rib 24 whereby on oscillation of the receptacle the contents are moved endwise backwards and forwards along the receptacle. During rotation of the receptacle in one direction, the rib assists the feeding and distribution of the goods from a hopper 17; and during rotation in the reverse direction the rib assists the discharge of the goods through a door 14.
