Abstract
1,129,818. Bowling pin clearing apparatus. AMERICAN MACHINE & FOUNDRY CO. 9 Nov., 1965 [25 Nov., 1964], No. 47510/65. Heading A6D. A bowling pin cleaning apparatus comprises a mobile apparatus into which pins are fed by hand from the pit of the bowling alley. The apparatus has a container partially filled with a cleaning fluid and having fixed therein a rotary device which moves through 360‹ in one cycle of operation. A pin is loaded in the first position and thence rotates through 90‹ into the second position where it is immersed in the cleaning fluid and revolved against fixed brushes. The process of the second position is repeated in the third position, the pin is wiped dry in the fourth position and removed when it returns to the first position.
