Abstract

513,120. Collapsable advertising devices. WARDLE, E., JONES, H., and TODD, C. I., (trading as WARDLE & CO., E.), and ROME, J. E. March 23, 1938, No. 8888. [Class 3 (ii)] A collapsable advertising device adapted to display a representation of a tin, box or the like and comprising a flexible or scored sheet arranged to represent the outside of the tin or box, and two or more erecting members connected together by a strut and hinged to the said sheet, adapted to move the sheet from a collapsed to a display position, is characterised by the provision of a member connected at two opposite points to the sheet and scored along a line extending transversely between the points of attachment so that said member may either be folded upon itself to bring the flexible or scored sheet to a collapsed position or unfolded so that it lies across the top or adjacent the top of the erected flexible sheet. Figs. 1, 2, shows the invention applied to a device as claimed in Specification 434,888, in which a sheet 16, creased along a line 19, is attached to the flexible sheet 10 and to the erecting member 12 to form the top of the representation. In a modification, the sheet 16 is attached to the sheet 10 at points below the upper edge of this sheet so as to form a representation of a tin with a recessed top.
