Abstract

513,072. Collapsable display stands. BARBER, C. H. March 30, 1938, No. 9676. [Class 3 (ii)] A collapsable display stand comprises an upright support having one or more shelves pivoted thereto about a horizontal axis by staples passed through the shelves and secured to the support, and a bracket pivoted to the support about a vertical axis and adapted to project at right angles to the support to retain the shelf or shelves horizontal, the base of the bracket forming a foot to retain the support vertical. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1, shelves B, B' are hinged to a support A by staples d and supported horizontally by the parts C<2>, C' of bracket C hinged to the support by staples a<1>, the shelf B extending through an aperture in the, support A, In another embodiment shown in Fig. 7, shelves B<2>, B<3> hinged by staples a<3> on the support A<3> and by staples d on a support D, are retained in a horizontal position by a bracket C' which is pivoted on the support A<3> by staples a<3> and engages the rear face of the support D when in its erected position at right angles to the support A<3>.
