510,834. Inspection-windows for stoves. PAUL, M. Oct. 11, 1938, No. 29439. [Class 28 (i)] [Also in Group XI] An oven door comprises transparent panels 9, spaced by a frame 10 and held in position by frames 1, 3, clamped together by bolts 12 screwed into lugs 11 on the frame 1. The frames 1, 3, have opposed, outwardly flared flanges 2, 4, the flange 2 being arranged to make contact with the oven frame when the door is closed. The flange 4 is received within the flange 2 and abuts against a gasket 5. Channelled or other gaskets may be provided on the edges of the panels 9. A lamp 15, for illuminating the oven, may be secured at one corner of the frame 3, the bulb being enclosed and protected by a removable globe 16. The oven may have a light-reflecting lining, e.g., of white metal or porcelain. The door may be hinged to the oven frame in any manner, but as shown, pintles 13 are provided at the lower edge and a handle 17 at the top.
