Abstract
509,963. Making bottle caps. SKOV, H. A. Aug. 24, -1938, No. 24922. [Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] Before stamping out closure caps from aluminium &c. strips 1, imprints 5 are applied within the cutting line to that part of the strip which becomes the skirt of the finished closure. A separate imprint may be applied to the area which becomes the top of the closure. The print for the skirt is enlarged as at 13, 14, Fig. 5, so as to become normal size printing when the skirt is formed. The skirt printing may be composed of separated or adjacent concentric rings of different colours.
