[Class 12 (iii)] [Also in Group XVIII] A device for maintaining a predetermined oil level 11 in a bearing housing 10 to which oil is supplied continuously or intermittently, comprises channels 16, 17, communicating with an overflow pipe 19 adjustably threaded in a socket member 21. Overflow is conducted away through a passage 23. A hood 20 is provided, and a tube 24 for the insertion of a thermometer. Temperature of the oil is controlled by varying the setting of the overflow 19.
