[Classes 52 (ii) and 52 (iii)] A display stand particularly for rolls of fabric &c. formed of metal tube comprises two V-shaped parts arranged to form the front and rear of the stand, with the upwardly extending limbs 1, 2 and 3, 4 connected together at their upper ends 5, and bracing members 9, 20 between both the front and rear and the ends of the stand, the junctures between the limbs 1 .. 4 and the cross pieces 6, 7 being shaped as curves 13 of substantial radius. The stand is built up of sections, the base comprising straight tubes 6, 7 the ends of which fit within T-pieces 8. for connection with the transverse braces 9 and the curved sections 13. Short lengths 10 of lining tube are fixed as by welding within laterally extending parts of the T-pieces and short wooden rods 12 driven into them before the application of the bracing tubes 9 over the lining tubes 10, and the parts are secured by a screw 21. The curved sections 13 have similar lining tubes 14 and wooden rods 15 for connection with the inverted V-shaped ends 1, 2 and 3, 4 and with the T-pieces. The upper parts 6 are connected to the bracing tube 20 by inwardlyextending liner tubes, and castors 17 are bolted through the T-pieces 8. Bearing supports for the rolled goods comprise lengths 22 of channel-section metal of which one or both side walls are formed with slots 23 and the bottom has lugs punched up upon which the rods 25 of the rolls rest. The channel walls converge inwardly to hold the rods 25 frictionally, and the channels are fixed to the uprights 1 .. 4 by wood-screws passed through holes in the uprights into the wooden rods 15 which extend to near the tops of the uprights. A shelf 28 in two hinged parts can be supported by hooks 29 from the slots 23.
