Abstract
507,045. Mine chocks. NAYLOR BROS., Ltd., and NAYLOR, W. Nov. 8, 1938, No. 32334. [Class 20 (ii)] A chock release comprises a pair of wedge elements each having a socket or recess for the reception of locking key, a displaceable bar motmted in one of the wedge elements being adapted to displace the key out of engagement with the recess in the other wedge element. In the construction shown, two pairs of wedge elements 1, 2, 3, 4 are provided, each of the lower elements 2, 4 being formed with a socket 7 accommodating a locking key 6 which is displaceable from or into a recess 5 in the upper elements 1, 3, by axial movement of a doublecranked bar 8 mounted in guides 9 in the lower elements. The upper wedge elements 1, 3 are preferably connected to the lower elements 2, 4 by means of chains.
