[Glass 5 (ii)] A cage for birds or animals provided with a feeding-appliance a on the outside of the cage has a flap c hinged at C2 to an horizontal bar of the cage and having wings cl adapted to be engaged with the feeding-appliance. When the feeding- appliance is removed, the flap falls and closes the opening b<1> in the cage. In some cases, the flap is provided with a spring. The feeding-appliance is secured to the cage by a projection a' adapted to be slid between vertical bars of the cage.
