Abstract
505,883. Squirting. COMPAGNIE GENERALE D'ELECTRICITE, and JUST, J. C. Oct. 1, 1938, No. 28539. [Class 83 (iv)] In a lead extrusion apparatus of the type operated by a ram or piston 1, the space between the die holder 4 and the press block 9 for the flow of metal, is in the form of helicoidal passages which open into an annular chamber between the die 6 and the matrix 7. The passages may be formed by helicoidal projections 8 in the die holder, by helicoidal channels within the bore of the press block or by both projections and channels.
