504,880. Heating fluids by electromagnetic induction. SENN, J. E. Aug. 5, 1938, No. 23217. Convention date, Aug. 7, 1937. [Class 39 (iii)] A fluid heater, particularly for insertion in a domestic hotwater system or for attachment to a hot-water radiator, comprises an iron pipe 1 with a coating 2 of copper or other non-magnetic metal forming a secondary, a heat resisting and electrically insulating sleeve 4 surrounding the pipe and carrying a primary winding 3, and an outer iron jacket 5 for carrying the external flux. Yokes 6, 7 close the iron circuit. Specifications 15786/09 and 172,759, [both in Class 39 (iii)], are referred to.
