Abstract

503,836. Two - position indicators. LAPPIN, R. C. Oct. 7, 1937, No. 27162. Convention date, Oct. 7, 1936. [Classes 40 (i) and 118 (ii)] A two-position indicator is moved in a vertical plane by the core of a solenoid. The armature 35 of the solenoid 31 slides in the hollow core 34 and carries the sign plate 37 so that one or other of the inscriptions is made visible through a suitable aperture 14 in the face plate 11. The solenoid is carried by the pressed plate 19, the arms 20 being bent round the coil. The back plate of the unit may carry a fuse. The indicator is described as a lamp failure indicator for the rear lamp of a vehicle, the coil 31 being connected in series with the rear lamp. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 25,288/02, [Class 118].
