Abstract

503,758. Thermionic valve. relay circuits. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and WESTELL, E. P. L. Oct. 4, 1937, No. 26801. [Class 40 (v)] [Also in Group XXXVIII] A relay 13 is operated by a signal of particular frequency but does not operate if any additional signal of different frequency is present. The relay has two windings energized by the anode current of a cumulative-grid rectifier 10 and by rectified signal currents respectively. The circuit 12 is tuned to signal frequency so that only signal currents are rectified at 14 to energize the associated .winding. The rectifying valve 10 is biassed so that the grid becomes positive and rectification takes place only when signals additional to the correct signals are received. The reduction of anode current consequent upon rectification causes falure of relay 13 tb operate.
