Abstract
503,515. Nasal medicaments. SNYDER, S. July 6, 1937, No. 18748. Void. Convention date, July 6, 1936. [Class 81 (i)] Hay fever is treated by spraying a solution of an enzyme on to the mucous membranes. The enzyme may be papain or pancreatin, and a small proportion of diastase or. takadiastase may be added. A vaso-constrictor such as ephedrine or its salts, or a mixture of the base and a salt thereof to act as a buffer, a hygroscopic agent such as glycerine, and an antiseptic such as oxyquinoline sulphate, also may be added.
