[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, April 6, 1938.] [Class 99 (ii)] [Also in Group XVII] A tube for containing liquid, plastic or powdery materials comprises layers of cellulosic material coated with a waterproof material, the layers being united by an adhesive with the aid of a solvent for the cellulose or the coating which is preferably contained in the adhesive. For example, a sheet of acetyl cellulose is coated on one or both sides with a mixture of kollodium elasticum, traumaticin and benzyl alcohol, and then on one side with a solution of a polymerization product such as polyacrylic acid ester or guttapercha in a volatile solvent. A pigment such as aluminium powder may be added.
