[Class 27] In a coin-freed machine having a plutality of magazines 1, 2, Fig. 1, from which articles are delivered, a reserve stock 3 for automatically replenishing the articles in magazine 1 which contains articles of larger size or quicker sale and so is liable to be exhausted more quickly than the magazine 2, is stored on a platform 6 above the articles in magazine 2. The platform 6 is connected by a lever 7 with a slide 9 having a roller 11, Fig. 2, which engages a cam face 13 on one side of a lever 12 pivoted at 21 to the delivery drawer 5 of the quick sale magazine 1. When the. drawer 5 is, pulled out, the roller 11 causes the lever 12 to rock so that a projection 14 on its other side passes normally under a plate 19 pivoted at 20 and held up by the toe 18 of a lever 16 pivoted at 17 and urged by a spring 22 so that a feeler 15 on its upper end is pressed against the articles in the magazine 1. The feeler 15 is disposed at about the same level as the platform 6 and, when the articles in magazine 1 fall below this level, the lever 16 is rocked to release the plate 19 which falls into the path of the projection 14 on lever 12. During the next actuation of the drawer 5, the lever 12 cannot move and the cam 13 moves the slide 9 to rock the lever 7 and carry the platform 6 with its pile of articles on to the top of the pile 'in magazine 1, the articles moving freely past pivoted angle irons 23, the arms 24 of which can move inwards only. These arms prevent the pile 3 from moving back with the platform 6 when this is returned by pushing in the drawer 5.
