Abstract
501,769. Squares; bevels. OAK-' LEY, S. A. Sept. 10, 1937, No. 24747. [Class 97 (iii)] One or more bars 7 are mounted on a setsquare 1 so as to be adjustable in at least two directions in a plane parallel to the setsquare. As shown in Fig. 1 the slotted bar 7 is secured by bolts 10 passing through slots 4, 5 parallel to one edge 3 of the setsquare. The bolts are prevented from rotating by the engagement of flattened portions near their heads in a slotted subsidiary bar arranged parallel to the bar 7 but beneath the setsquare. In a modification the slots 4, 5, are slightly inclined relatively to the edges 3, 3<1>, respectively, and the bar 7 is normally parallel to the hypotenuse 15. In 'a further modification, Fig. 4, slotted bars 23, 24, and a protractor disc 27 are secured by a bolt 25 engaging a slot 26 in the setsquare. Graduations may be provided on the setsquare and bars.
